How long does a new garage door installation take?
Most residential garage door installations are completed in a single day. We remove the old door, fit the new sections, springs and tracks, pair the opener, and test everything before we leave. Larger custom doors or full opener replacements may stretch slightly longer. We'll confirm timing in your written quote.
Which Amarr collections do you install most often?
Lincoln and Heritage are the everyday workhorses for value-conscious installs. Olympus is the most popular insulated upgrade for attached garages. Classica and Designer's Choice carry the steel-carriage look. Vista and Horizon are the contemporary aluminum-and-glass options. Foundry Reserve is the luxury tier.
Insulated vs. non-insulated, which should I pick?
Attached garage, workshop, or a room above the garage: pick an insulated level. Detached storage garage: the single-layer level saves a few hundred dollars. Each construction card in step 2 says in plain words who it suits, with its insulation value and installed price side by side.
Do the prices on this page include installation?
Yes. Every number is a full installed total from our 2026 price book: the Amarr door at our dealer price, 6.25% Massachusetts sales tax on the door, installation labor ($600 for a single door up to 10 feet wide, $900 for a 16 or 18 foot double), and $175 to haul away and dispose of the old door. A range means you have not picked every option yet; it narrows to one number as you choose the construction level, windows and glass. Amarr's color upcharge (every color except True White), SlimLine window frames and site conditions such as low headroom are confirmed on the written quote.
Is the preview what my door will actually look like?
The preview is Amarr's own rendered door image for the exact collection, construction, panel, color, window and glass you pick, the same renderer behind Amarr's Design Your Door tool. Carriage Court uses Amarr's product photos, and the custom wood and Foundry Reserve lines show collection photos because Amarr builds those to order. If you'd like to see a finished install in person, we have local references and a photo gallery of recent jobs.
What if I don't see what I want?
Every option in the builder is one Amarr offers today, pulled from Amarr's designer. If a collection shows 'custom quote' it means the option is built to order and not on our price sheet (Classica Flush and Full View, Horizon, Foundry Reserve, Amarr by Design, and any odd size). Send the spec anyway and Eric prices it in writing. Commercial roll-up doors are quoted per opening.
